Using Hand Postures Or Hast Mudras For HealthHand Postures or Hast Mudras, as it is called in India, is a very ancient art of self healing which one can practice for healing the body. There are a variety of health issues that can be corrected using this simple technique. Unfortunately, this ancient Indian art has not been widely promoted and hence, in the western world, little is known about it.
The main purpose of this article is to bring to the fore a very useful scientific technique, not related to modern science, as we understand today, which the ancient yogis formulated, without having so many tools that scientific research has today, at its disposal. The underlying principle in this therapy is the fact that the human body is composed of 5 elements. They are Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space. The body remains disease free when these 5 elements are in harmony and gets diseased when these very elements get out of sync with one another. By performing various hand postures by way of touching fingers and the thumb, with or without applying pressure, the 5 elements are brought into synchronizing with one another. This then eliminates the body disease and the body is restored to health. The hand postures or hast mudras can be done by anyone, young or old, suffering from a simple ailment to more advanced diseases. The only requirement is regularity, following the given method, the time duration and the precautions outlined. They will work even if you do not believe in them provided you do it as described.
