About Kahwah (Decoction)Kahwah is a Arabic / Urdu word that actually refers to simmered tea which is basically of a decoction of herbal leaves in water. It is consumed in North India, Pakistan & Afghanistan. In a broader sense any ingredient that is simmered in water that is much reduced in quantity is referred to a kahwa or decoction.
This kahwah has medicinal and curative value as the chemicals, oils and other organic compounds from herbal plants/parts are extracted into the water. We have used Tulsi (holy basil) leaves, Cloves and Black salt in this recipe, all of which have numerous health benefits.
